At the moment, but sales have been very high in UK recently, and relatively low in Japan. It will be interesting to see how they compare when we have a statistically significant number of weeks. It's probable Japan was on top prior to week 40 when FIFA launched (sales were 1.5m week 39 in Japan), but I only have data for UK since week 40.

UK almost DOUBLE japan. Wow!

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Pretty neat.

It would seem that considering currency rates, that the UK is around the same size as Japan now...Given the fact that UK sales are up 42% this year, and down 12% in JP.

Hmm. I wonder how big the USA is - Isn't it around $25b not including PC games?

It'd be nice to see if we can construct a relative chart for 2007 or 2008 to show the countries with the highest revenue of video games.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

31.3m UK software total includes 3.9m PC software, so 27.4m Console and Handheld software sold in UK during H1 Vs 28.41m sold in Japan during H1. It's very close, UK can quite possibly sell more software than Japan in 2008. Could do with UK software units during Q3 though.
