Brawl and Kart (and de Blob, which I forgot about) were the only games that I felt were worth my money amongst all the high profile releases on DS, PC and Ps3.

I think its the Tennis wimbledon thing and Harry potter as Wii as the main platform. YEAH, thats it... Unless theres a MOH: H2 sequel with updated graphics, cinematic feel campaign singleplayer, splitscreen multiplayer and online mode with now search and destroy exclusive for the Wii. But never happen...

And yeah, BTW what Im talking about hardcore are not the hardcore that Im talking about like sports games, shooters and blood and violence kind and playing online for hours, no not that kind...

The Wii can appeal to all types of gamers though they are limited in certain regards. For one they have very crappy online, and that totally detracts from enjoyment by adult online gamers, and those are the hardest of the hardcore.

Next the Mario franchise games simply do not cut it for anyone over the age of 25. In a way they are still playable but their level of fun is mired down by poor graphics, gimmicky stories and kiddy characters. Since most hardcore gamers are adults IMO this effects their interest in these games which Nintendo constantly releases.

Continuing on, their Wii Mote/Fit/Music are very innovative and entertaining, but they are targeted towards the general populace and lack the challenging aspects that many hardcore gamers enjoy.

Has IGN lost amp316's interest? I should start that thread.

At one time IGN wasn't that bad toward the Wii, but for some unexplained reason (hopefully not their opinions being bought off) they are quickly turning into Gamespot.

Where did I mention anything about "casual"? It seems you are the one obsessed with "hardcore/casual" thing. But please, can you tell me what is that "we all knew is coming anyway"? Obviously we all don't know what that is...

What is that hardcore once again? First you say it is the gears/halo crowd and then you say it is not the people who play online shooters.. What is your problem with who like games with "blood and violence" on them?

 I just didnt include the one playing online shooters because I forgot to mentioned it but yeah, anyway heres my list on what a hardcore means:

1) Playing online for hours

2) Likes shooters/FPS on consoles

3) Likes licensed sports titles

4) Graphic whores

5) Wants violence and blood in their games

OK here goes, if somehow Legend of Zelda, Starfox Wii, Pikmin 3, F-Zero Wii, etc... will be announced in next E3 or October conference or will there be a new Spaceworld would you believe it? It sounds absurd but what any franchise can Ninty announced? Kid Icarus?

I think he's completely right. If you read the whole article, you see that he comes to the conclusion that Nintendo's holiday 08 isn't great, but that great games will come. I'm also not completely happy with Nintendo at the moment, but I'm sure it'll change, and so is he. We both have lived the Gamecube times, so we know that there are times without extremely great games on Nintendo consoles.

Oh.. why wouldn't I believe if zelda,starfox,pikmin etc would be announced. Actually I know only zelda out of those games you listed. :P I don't see your point why should I wait for 2009.
