Forums - Sales Discussion - PS3 Price cut to $300 by March

Here's the problem with a March price cut. Yes, it will increase sales during the slow part of the year. But once the holidays come around, you'll see a $149 360 arcade and a $199 Wii, nullifying the March price cut.

This is why I doubt the March price cut theory. Well, that and the fact that if they could afford to drop it in March, they could probably afford to do it right now; which they would if they could.

I assume he meant handicapped.  But really, considering only 5% of games require a hard drive to fully enjoy, it's not that much of a handicap.  Oh and add on the $20 20GB hard drive and you have a fully functioning console equal to the old Premium 360's that used to sell for $400.  So from $400 the premiums would probably go for $250 now, which $220 is a pretty decent deal still.

No manufacturer is going to confirm a price cut until right before it happens.

By March, manufacturing costs should have decreased to the point where a $100 price cut is possible.

Consoles owned: Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, DS, PS3

I know, but this way in order to say one thing you have to acknowledge the other
