Forums - Nintendo - How did this one slip the radar? (Drawn to Life)

A DS game where you must draw the objects in the level before playing them, sounds damn awesome to me, holding a Cartooning Diploma myself a game like this is very attractive, I mean did it really have to take this long to make a drawing game since Picto Chat...!?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed but I'm sure since I didn't know many others didn't either, considering I'm pretty up to date with this industry.

This is one of the best ds games, you can create your own character and you fight inlk monsters as you progresse through the game. Its just one of the hundreds of the ds games that might not even get noticed : (

I hope it doesn't, I only found out of this game in EB today, they have a lot of coverage for it, (special deals etc etc and it's own dedicated games stand, with pre-order now labelled all over it)

Sounds very interesting, wonder if a Wii version will come out. Could be very interesting with online, creating levels that others can play on.

What do you get to design? Just the look of the level or do you have control over gameplay and such?

I posted a news feature on this when it was first announced, nobody cared. :p

Not to be negative, though that would be a copy of LBP, and you dont create your own level, you create your own character by drawing him..

I only recently took notice of it when IGN updated their site to include a feature on it recently, but it really does look like a fantastic idea, and will definitely consider picking it up pending more details

Yeah it looks cool, unfortunately as was said it will probably get lost in the vast library of DS games.

You're right that you don't create your own level, but that was hardly invented by LBP.  Mega Man Powered Up comes to mind, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the first time it was possible either.  Certainly LBP looks cool, but designing levels and trading them online even (also in LBP) is nothing original.
