Last year certain games were called flops, but when the Companies released their fiscals, and NDP released its monthly estimates it was shown that certain games were not fairly represented in the data.

A couple of games that come to mind are Carnvial Games, COD4, and SMG. All 3 of those games sales were seen as good, but when the final results came in from Fiscals it was shown that they were very undertracked.

So basically, dont go running around calling games flops just yet. Wait and see.

Right now I feel Wii HW sales and userbase do not compute with the total weekly SW sales.... However, who knows maybe wii owners really dont buy that many games? Also, Res 2 seems kinda low, but maybe it just flopped.... we shall see.

I fucking hate people who use the word flop after 1 or 2 weeks sales. Resistance 2 isn't a flop. Its only out in America for 2 weeks and Japan for 1 week. Wait till its out in Europe then decide if its a flop or not. I would be it sells 200,000 or more in Europe first week.

230k 1st week still isn't bad, it should do the same in others at the least, so a launch >500k is pretty good, should go on to sell a few million

my point is that VGC is a great site, but are incredibly hard to track during the Holidays, and they bound to be wildly off on certain games...

I believe they will be 50% low on SMG and many "casual" games.

I remember CoD 4 being consistently undertracked last year.
