MaxwellGT2000 said: Uhm wut? You realize that console games are made on PCs right? I mean come on what are you even thinking man? Have you gone crazy? PCs were stronger then PS3 when it launched and will be stronger when the next gen comes along, the thing PC has over consoles is that they're upgradable but if you started making consoles like PCs then what the hell? MAKE A FREAKING PC and not a console... |
I suppose your probably right, maybe in the distant future but not now, anyway get back to the thread topic
|
What thread topic, it doesn't exisit and it won't ever happen, I mean what do you think engineers use to make these consoles? A magical box that produces better hardware then what is already out there? NO they are made using applications, calculus, and good hard work, it could NEVER happen... the one advantage of console gaming is the lack of needing to upgrade it every few months to stay up to date that's an advantage for game makers and owners alike... you know what you can get out of a console, you have engines and PCs set up to develop for these console games, and from that point on it's basically making the game... if you make a console that can be upgraded to stick with PC standards then why spend more money on a console when you can just go out and buy PC parts for much cheaper? And then lose the main advantage consoles have over PC games... your idea kills itself before it can even begin...

In the future it is possible just admit that ok? |
I know you're just trolling for responses here, but I'm gonna steal your thunder. PCs are in constant development by about 15 different manufacturing companies all competing for a share of the pie. that means advancements are being made every day. Consoles make big huge advancements every 4 or 5 years, but that's still 4 or 5 years worth of time that PCs have to catch up. The only reason consoles seem more advanced is because their hardware and software is standardized, so it's easier to develop for and make games and programs that are customized to run as efficiently as possible.
It might be entirely possible for a next gen console to be the most powerful computer FOR ITS PRICE RANGE, but there will always be some sort of computer setup that is more powerful that
However, Consoles will always be the leading edge of games, at least as long as Nintendo exists.
Oh, yeah, and people can disagree with you and still be on topic. So i dunno why you're responding to every other comment that's laughing at the point of view that you support (though that's not really accurate, since i've barely seen you actually support your point in any way) as if they're going off topic.

Your taking this the wrong way dude I dont think it is very likely at all that consoles will be more powerful than PCs but everything is possible and it may happen you never know, I thin there is around a 10 percent chance of it in about 30 years
|
more like 0.0001% of a chance and that x box no way ps will ever do it
|
Dogs dont be silly PS is more like PCs now than x-boxs are so why in the world would they have more chance duh
|
Lulz pure lulz here folks, ok, you realize the way 360's are set up and design is like a PCs programming, right? Right. So the Xbox is more like a PC, right? Right. Which is the reason 360 "exclusives" always find their way to PC... it's because MS owns windows, making games for windows is another business of theirs, they make an exclusive on both PC and 360 you will game with them... that simple. Anyway again there's no way, no how, no reason for a console to be more powerful then a PC, and therefore not going to happen, and if you want to make one, then you're more then welcome, cheers!
