I am not really the person to ask. The Mii Plaza sold me.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Based upon the quality of the first two games, I would have to say yes. I am extremely optimistic about this game, and I really don't think Retro could mess it up. If they do, that would be a shame.
I never enjoyed Metroid before Prime myself. :)
Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.
| kn said: Wow, thanks for all the replies... I'm not really an FPS fan but for some reason, Halo was great to me. I prefer the more linear style that is shorter than the open-world concept. Games like grand theft don't do anything for me nor do games like unreal. On my 'cube, I really enjoy Mario Kart and that certainly is a title I'm looking forward to. Resident Evil 4 was awesome! Again, a linear game without a lot of wandering. I don't do fighters so SSBB isn't something I'm interested in. SMG might be but will depend on how "fresh" the gameplay is. I burned myself up on Super Mario 64 so much so that the whole idea of another 3D mario title doesn't appeal to me. Also, I don't do online and that's not an issue. As far as the "graphics" comment, The cube was great, but I really would have preferred that Nintendo put just a little more "gusto" in the cpu/gpu. I didn't expect 360 or PS3 levels of hardware, but more than they did. I fully agree with gameplay over graphics. I always have and always will. I do, however, really like nice graphics as well. So to further my question, tell me how MP1 and MP2 played on the cube. Are they adventure? Puzzle? RPG? Compare to other games that are similar... I may just have to go get MP1 and/or 2 at Gamestop used since my 360 is out for repair. |
Just because the specs aren't high does not mean they didn't care about them. They did their best to make the processors small, consume less heat, and use less power. That shows an amount of care put into the system.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
Wait till it comes out, plenty vids and reviews will be out plenty opnions on th enet will be posted.
But at the same time PS3 and 360 will be flooded with top end exclusives and great 3rd party games.

I was hoping MP3 was more FPSish from what i've read so I hoe you are right. Man, I hate backtracking. Been there, done that. I don't want to return, lol. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It's not like I can buy a Wii anywhere in Austin anyway. 0/25 stores has been the norm since launch. Apparently Nintendo doesn't like Texas... The wal-mart near my house hasn't seen stock for almost a month now and it is a newer giganto super walmart. My Gamestops/EB games tell me they see 2 or 3 units maybe every other week. |
In what other game have you back tracked? I'm not talking about going back for 100% items. What other game requires you to find your way by using newly acquired abilities? I'd like to know (I can think of a few, and I always like them). Also, Metroid is not open in the way Grand THeft Auto is. It is open in the way that the original Blaster Master was. Go where you want, if you have the right ability. The story is linear. The objectives are linear.
No, it is not enough, althought it may be a good game. No worries, though, for there are many other games, besides Metroid Prime 3, that will make it worth purchasing a Wii. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii.
I guess I missed the point when I first posted. Never buy a system for just one game. If you really one Metroid, and see some other stuff you might want, then go for it. Buying a system is so dumb. Like an Xbox for Fable... And what's worse is it's on PC as well. (It's what a former friend of mine did. I think it's a waste of cash myself)
