I certainly hope so, I really enjoyed the first two prime games. IMO they are much more entertaining than either Halo game, but, they are not the same type of game either. More adventure FPS, where as from what I read so far MP3 should be more FPSish and from all accounts a great control system that is near keyboard/mouse. I personally really want this game and would buy a Wii for it.

In my opinion, one game is not enough to buy a console. If you look around and don't see other stuff you like, make your decision later.

 I was hoping MP3 was more FPSish from what i've read so I hoe you are right.  Man, I hate backtracking.  Been there, done that.  I don't want to return, lol.  I guess I'll just have to wait and see.  It's not like I can buy a Wii anywhere in Austin anyway.  0/25 stores has been the norm since launch.  Apparently Nintendo doesn't like Texas... The wal-mart near my house hasn't seen stock for almost a month now and it is a newer giganto super walmart.  My Gamestops/EB games tell me they see 2 or 3 units maybe every other week.

Gamestops never get more then 2-3 wii's a shipment.  The 5 gamestops by me never have them either.  Heck they don't even have shelf space for it at the one i went to today.  Gamestops usually never carry more then 3 of a console anyway.  The Gamestop I went to today had 5 PS3s for some reason.  I think 2 were used and exchanged in since they were out of the box and in a different case. 

I wouldn't Metroid 3 was worth getting a Wii for but then again I don't think one game is enough to get any system.  Considering how fun the rest of the Wii games are though I'd say it's worth it.

If you like linear games forget metroid , they are all about exploration and item fetching to open up new unexplored areas and both prime 1 & 2 are absolutely huge so don't even think about finishing the game quickly.. In short metroid is not for light play, it takes a lot of time and effort.......

however if your up for a challange MP3 might just turn out be one of the best game experiances you ever had...Metroid prime was infact my favourite gamecube game..yes even more than the mighty resident evil 4...

as for your initial question there are other reasons besides MP3 why you should own a wii.. zelda Tp is fantastic and games like wii sports and warioware might surprise you if your into light play...as for me the main reason has a name...its called super mario galaxy...;)

I'd suggest picking up a cheap copy of MP1 if you can find it and checking that out. If you enjoy that, then most likely you'll enjoy whatever MP3 has to offer.

That said, I'd personally place MP1 in the top 3 games of last generation. It took what made the 2D metroids good and submerged me in a wonderful 3D landscape. Everything about it was done brilliantly from the music to the level layouts to the graphics.

Anyway, check out MP1 and see for yourself.
