Being a moderator doesn't prevent you from being like ANY other user. You just have the added responsibility of overseeing the forum with the intent to keep it running as smoothly as possible with very few incidents as possible.
Suggesting you wouldn't have an opinion is careless, and isn't responsible. Say you apply to a job at a fast food restaurant. Say this restaurant isn't quite your favourite place to dine, but it's in the top5. You're not going to have an opinion anymore about your favourite place to eat? Don't be absurd.
A good moderator is someone who can be impartial to disputes, but can still remain real. I personally would love to be a moderator here, but quite frankly I have too many other prior commitments that would interfere with this so that disqualifies me right there.
I couldn't care less who the moderator is, as long as they're level-headed, impartial, and won't be abusive because they hold | | more power over 99% of the rest of us.
So if I worked at... Burger king as a cashier. I should share my opinion with people that Hardees is cheaper, and has better food?
Wow. That's awesome. Because I've worked fast food. You would be fired on the spot.
Exactly my point. You're careless. Obviously you don't put your job at stake with something as ridiculous as that. But if you were speaking from your PERSONAL level, not BUSINESS level, there's nothing wrong with that. This isn't a business, these forums are meant for PERSONAL discussions. There's a difference. You think having ZERO opinion about what this site is about will make you a good mod? How is that real? Why would people even respect someone who would refuse to be as real with them as they try and be with you?
