P.S. Yeah, 90% of those are probably duplicates and people who join just to troll and get banned.  Increse in popularity of site = increase in Banhammer activity.

Most of those banned are just alt accounts. I think the mods do a dam fine job. We wouldn't want the forums to degenerate into some sort of unholy mess would we. I advocate more banning. The stricter & harsher the better I say.

All of them deserved it. Some are yet to come though...

Banning here is truly flawed. Wii/PS3 bashing is HUGE! Most people who troll the their asses off get away with it. Ive also seen some people perma-banned or something but its only last days?
I say if youre gonna ban someone do it right and dont let them come back.

Not only people who troll or flame get away with it but people who dont do anything wrong have gotten banned. I simple wise-ass comment gets banned while someone talk shit about a console and argues gets to stay. I dont get it.

Yup, i heard about people joking and getting banned for it since it can be translated as trolling. Yet on this very thread, a MOD made a joke about Sudanese and Nigerians (could be translated racist) and didn't get a ban.

I think principles should be applied equally amongst all so the bans can be justified or else the bans will just be as bad as some of the reviews we get from certain gaming websites which cause threads of hatred for bad reviewing principles.

Saying this though, we know what the rules are, there is no reason for anyone to get banned unless they deliberately do it. On several occasions, a Mod has messaged me to warn me if I had done something wrong rather then just ban me. Therefor, I'm certain the people who have got a ban were given the same courtesy, yet didn't bother taking the advise and got banned as a result.

Non-Coherent posters should be banned as well. Nothing pisses me off more than a fanboy who has no idea what a complete sentence is.

I think overall the bans are good for the site.

The mods do a fine job. You will have problems if you act like an ignorant mook, however, so I do not recommend posting here if you are an ignorant mook.

Umm, what? I made a joke about people from Sudan and Nigeria? I've looked at Alexa.com, and we've had a sharp increase in the amount of people coming from these two countries. Both countries are famous for having groups of people who do things such as advertising or identity theft. Does this hurt the quality of each country? No. Every country has problems, and given the poverty of both these nations, you can't blame the people who commit these acts. And you're accusing me of racism because of this? And I should be banned for it too? I really can't summarise any more how wrong what you just said was.

If you have a problem with a post, report it. Since there are currently no posts reported, I assume everything is fine. Don't go crying oh such and such always happens and no one does anything about it, if you can't even bring up one specific example and report it.
