Of course if you would like to go to a site with almost no banned account where the "moderators" let anything go then go ahead and go to a place like the gametrailers or gamefaqgs forums.

Ummm, this site is filled with mostly fanboy comments. LOL. But aren't they all. I don't think anyone called this site bad for it's number of banned members and I don't think anyone said they wanted to leave the site either.

Oh I agree there are still plenty of fanboys here but go look at some place like the Gamefaqs or Gametrailers forums, they're terrible.  If you really want to be sad for humanity look at any thread that mentions Gears 2 or Resistance 2 and you will want to shoot yourself for the rampant fanboyism going on.

Also, it's not like you make one bad comment and you're out here like some places (*cough*gaf*cough*), everyone gets a warning and then increasing time bans, not just outright permabans.

Before amnesty was given and all of the members were unbanned, I remember there being 900 or so banned people (approaching 1,000). And that was before we got hit by the wave of spammers and advertisers (who I have strong reason to believe are from Nigeria and Sudan).

Don't get me wrong Twesterm. I've visited many other forums and this is one of the best. I came here from Gamefaqs and that one was pretty bad with all the fanboyism going on. Troll topic after troll topic.

People are banned because the ops censor the chat.

Don't like what you're saying?

You get banned.

It's time we had user moderation vs "all unknowing" ops that think they are gods. (Like DIGG, Reddit and Slashdot, to name a few).

I am sick of all the bans.

Beyond that, the bans are STUPID. You can't even login to check personal email. or to see how the last few messages you posted are doing.

All in all, vgchartz is cool for the community, but the ops are a drag.

What do we sensor?  You mean things that just in general piss people off and cause a disruption?  Things that are just generally disrespectful to each other?

Are you saying posts like these should fly?

Almost anything can get you banned. The moderators of vgchartz are annoying and frustrating to deal with.

Things that will get you banned:
insulting someone
speaking your mind
swearing
saying something trollish
sneezing
disagreeing with an admin.
etc.

Don't believe me? Check for yourself. Go to the user database and search for banned users. At any given time there are ~500 people banned!

So you're saying posts like those should go completely unpunished other than having their posts being dug down so that they are free to continue making comments like that with no moderation whatsoever?  You're saying that is really helpful?

Is there any reason the user who made those comments shouldn't warned or banned?

500 is nothing, I thought Gametrailers had +10.000 banned members.

The most are their btw also alt accounts but their they get banned for a good reason of course =p.
