Forums - Microsoft - Fourth-wall breakage in Fable 2

God damn, this game is hilarious!  I've found so many subtle breakages of the fourth wall (where characters or world objects seem to know that they're in a game) I just had to post them, along with my own titles for them.

-"Looping Dialogue"

My in-game wife came up to me and said: "Don't you hate it when people say the same thing over and over?"

Then, in the same tone, she again said "Don't you hate it when people say the same thing over and over?"

-"D&D in Real Life"

Two kids are playing in Bowerstone Market, and they're setting up a little play based around the exploits of Blade (me).  Neat!  I stand there to watch.  Little girl says "I want to be Blade!".  Okay... a little weird, but cool.  It doesn't get REALLY strange until she swipes at the boy with her toy sword and says "I thrust my blade into you for thirty points of damage!"

-"Alternate Realities"

I found a book that described the (preposterous) theory of ORBS (Other Reality Based Selves) that the hero can use to interact with other versions of himself in parallel versions of Albion.  "Sometimes, the hero can even be a woman!"

What have you guys found?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I remember hearing a bunch of these but can't remember what they were, just remember laughing at all of them.

Oh! I forgot the best ones!

-"Big Bang Theory"

Villager tells me that "...they say the world is much bigger than it was 500 years ago!"

-"Robin Williams Syndrome"

Best one I've encountered so far. "They say being a hero's easy. But I've heard that an entire lifetime can pass you by in a matter of hours! I wouldn't fancy that!"

Lionhead's awesome points just skyrocketed in my book

Thats what I love about fable, it functions at some points as quite an effective satire of the entire Western RPG genre. Its bloody hilarious. How about the transmogrification potion? The voice over for that is utter hilarity!
