I'd be tempted to say Fallout 3.

I haven't played it myself, I have Fable II.

From what I hear Fallout 3 has longer play value.

Question: How much did you like Oblivion?

Seems liek there can't be a a week without one of these....

Fallout 3, I didn't spend ANY time doing BS stuff. No minigames, no shitty economy, nothing. I went in, spent 35 hours on my first playthrough (and I hadn't even played through HALF the map), and it was overall amazing. It doesn't rely on stupid features to extend its length of play.

If you played Fable 1 then just get Fallout 3 since Fable 2 isn't much different than 1.
If you haven't played Fable 1 then either will do you just fine...
(but I would still lean towards Fallout 3 imo)

It's worth mentioning that the PS3 version has been patched with bug fixes and trophies, so now it's basically functionally equivalent to the 360 version. Only difference is that the 360 gets exclusive DLC.
