Forums - Nintendo - Should WWF No Mercy be ported onto the Wii?

WWF No Mercy is probably the best wrestling game of all time. The game was so in-depth and the gameplay was great. Its a game that is still praised up to this day. Now, many classic games had been ported onto the Wii through WiiWare. This is probably the only wrestling game that should also be on the list of many ported game on WiiWare. I don't know what is taking Nintendo and THQ so long to port is game on the Wii. WWF No Mercy on the N64 needs to be ported on the Wii.

Who else thinks this game should be ported onto the Wii?

I personally don't. I think it would feel to weird without the N64 controller. Plus I think there would be too many issues bringing it over with the retired, fired and dead wrestlers (they need their permission, right?). However, I would be open to a new game, like No Mercy, from THQ using similar controls, and better than Smackdown vs Raw..........hopefully much better.

I think I wol prefer Wrestlmania 2000. I loved all the mechanics changes No Mercy brought, but the single player was a lot worse. If they could combine the gameplay of No Mercy, with the structure of Wrestlemania it would be perfect.

I do, but there are plenty of licensing issues both companies would have to go through to make this happen, so having those No Mercy rosters on WiiWare would be impossible.

However, if they had the same game layout, updated with the current roster, the same match types + the more recent ones, and online of some kind, it would become a first day purchase.

@SaviorX, they could have a online feature where you can update the roster. Also Nintendo and THQ can work on updating the graphics to modern-day graphics on the Wii.

I agree with SaviorX. Its all due to licensing. For one its not even called WWF anymore but WWE. Alot of the people in that game dont wrestle anymore and blah blah blah. Id like it to come but its not gonna happen.

To the wii to the VC, just bring it please.
