Yes, there are.

One is having good reflexes, and listening to the sound they make ( they make a sound so you know they are around)

and the other, that either he missed the big Tip window that they shove in the middle of the screen that says you should use the Bullseye secondary fire as a protection for them, or he had the tips turned off...

How does Bullseye secondary fire help in that situation? I'm just curious - I've never played a Resistance. Does it help you gauge where the enemy is, or does it just kill them more quickly?

I remember reading reviews saying that the difficulty is unfair at times. I'll probably rent this one before buying.

Which out of Gears of War 2 or Resistance 2 is better? Neither, of course

Rogue Squadron 2 gave me some hard times, but you don't see me whining about it on the internet. Still a great game... which I finished after putting some intensive work into the levels that prevented me from doing so.

The game doesn't suck. Most probably you do. Resistance is hectic but it's not that difficult. Don't blame the game for your lack of skill.

Umm, most of all the reasons why you hate Resistance 2 is because you weren't good at it. At all.

That's why its a "hardcore" game it's suppose to be difficult to beat, I dought it's as bad as you say it is though
