I predict 7.6-8.3 metacritic average. Judging from High Voltage's track record, that is being VERY optimistic. Sales in the....well, its really hard to tell. What did MoHH2 do again?
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
It's really hard to tell how The Conduit will do but I think once we figure out how CoD: WaW does we'll get a better idea. So far the only traditional shooter we have "complete" sales on for Wii is Red Steel and it went platinum. If I had to guess, though COD3 did about 600,000 and MOHH2 did about 500,000. So think if CoD: WaW is able to do over a million by the time The Conduit comes out then the The Conduit will see success. Anywhere from 1-2 million. But if CoD: WaW doesn't do that well then it's hard to think an unproven franchise could go anywhere despite the hype.
But as stated The Conduit has pretty damn good hype right now with most things being said about it pretty positive... aside from one reviewer knocking on it for being unoriginal but so are all shooters these days. As long as their is a base on Wii to buy the shooter then they'll show up on those first days and put it up high which will draw the mainstream in later.
ugh.. i'm hating the unnecessary hype for this game.. don't get me wrong, it is coming along fantastically, and i can't wait to play it.. but seriously.. don't put your expectations so high
The hype on LBD was way higher>.>
That being said, I agree with most people... don't put high expectations for this game. Also don't make topics like these because you just give people an excuse to bash it. It's not out yet, so no one can judge (haters or lovers :P).
That also being said, my prediction:
Rating: 84-93
Sales:0.75 sales at least.
Metacritic 80-90.
Sales 750K - 1.5M.

i'm excited but not too excited...I'm looking forward to it but i don't want to put too much faith in High Voltage Software..i got really hyped for Banjo Kazooie 3 and all it did was make me sick..:( it makes me a sad panda
