360 stands a decent chance of outselling the PS3 Q1/Q2 next year, and if it does, will the PS3 ever overtake the 360?

Microsoft have shown the most force this gen by far. If sales do slip throughout 09 expect something big for the 09 holiday ...

Wouldnt' it be funny if the PS3 outsold the 360 for the first 3 quaters if the next few years only for the 360 to wipe the slate clean come christmas time. Effectively thats what we are going to see this holiday.

Wouldn't this be a "popular prediction" since the 360 is currently outselling the PS3 ? Or is it just unpopular because of the 360 minority on these forums.


As for the prediction I give it a 50/50 chance... as we all have noticed time and time again, is that anything can happen this generation.

I thought I remember reading somewhere recently that the recession problems would continue at least into the 2nd quarter of 2009, so I'll drink Squil's kool-aid.

coolestguyever, you are kidding right? Each one of those is at least 4-5 million too high. Its much more likely to be around:

PS3 - 19.3 Million 360 - 26 Million Wii - 42 Million

It states end of 09, which doesn't make his prediction any more better. He thinks the 360 will only sell 3.9 Million next year.

they will cut the price of the ps3 early in 2009 and that will be the end of the 360. you cant argue with my statement (assuming that a price cut is guranteed in 09)

if sony cut the ps3 price worldwide then there is no way the 360 will be able to keep up! everyone knows that true. maybe everyone is hating the ps3 now, because microsoft are stupid and making all their moves now but next year they aint gonna have shit left to do and are gonna have to sit back and watch sony show them why the playstation 1 and 2 where the kings.

I thought you were doing that. Fanboys think their statements are irrefutable. Sony fans tend to think that if the PS3 gets a price drop in March of '09 then without question the 360 will die right there.
