Yes, and when you say this you neglect to say the 360 has been on the market 1 year longer. In 2008, the 360 had 41 80 and 90 plus games. The PS3 had 36 80 to 90+ games. The 360 had 6 90 + games and the PS3 had 5
90+ games. 5 and 1 don't quite equal the "way more" that you say that they do. Now, let's dig a little deeper here is how those five and six titles match up when placed on a scale rating them according to quality:

So, it would appear that as far as quality, the games on the 360 and PS3 for 2008 are almost equal, but the PS3 does occupy more of the top 5 on this chart than does the 360. However, this chart doesn't contain the complete story because it only consists of averages for the games from all major sites.

Averages don't take into account that some opinions carry more weight than others. So, when you take more valuable opinions into account, you find that Metal Gear Solid 4 which only has a 92.482 score here should actually have scored much higher. Its score should have been equal to that of the highest placed game on this list.

Evidence for this fact? Metal Gear Solid 4 received a 10 at IGN, the number one American videogame website on the internet the same score as the highest rated game. Not only that but it was called the greatest game to be released in this console generation on any console (including GTA IV) in Nick Des Barres's review of the game in Play Magazine which is the direct descendant of the greatest American videogame magazine of all time Dave Halverson's Diehard Gamefan.

Nick Des Barres or Nick Rox opinion on the game matters much more than the opinion of some kid working at Edge or that of someone whom is primarily an mmo editor at Eurogamer. Nick Rox was one of the principle videogame critics at Gamefan way back in 1994 when it was the greatest American videogame magazine of all time while some game critics at other magazines were probably still in middle school or highschool. Nick Rox' opinion of MGS4's value carries more weight than their's ever could. Finally, Famitsu the greatest videogame magazine of all time. gives Metal Gear Solid 4 a 10.

So, with those heavy hitters in its corner, we find that MGS4 actually deserves to be rated a 10 or at least to be given the exact same score as the PS3 version of GTA IV which would place it in a tie for the right to be called the best game of this generation. This is Something that can't be said of any of the 360's exclusives. However as you said, we shouldn't live in the past, so living in the future, it is sufficient to say that the 360's best games are behind it while many of the PS3's best games are yet to come.

As I pointed out earlier LBP, is a game with legs, but when it comes down to it, Gears isn't. It is a game that will hold a high spots on the charts until Killzone 2 comes along to replace it. However, like many of the Wii's games and especially with the PSP version on the way, LBP will gain footing and sell throughout the rest of the generation. R2 was actually the second highest selling game on the charts last week, so I don't quite know how it can be said to have flopped.

It is not bias. It is called using more than one source to form an opinion. As Father Malachi Martin said on Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, "Unlike the protestants, as a Catholic priest, I have more sources to draw from."

I talked about matters that would make one place more emphasis on certain scores than on others earlier in this post.

Yeah come back and raise this point after Final Fantasy XIII sells 2 million copies on the PS3 in Japan while the 360 version sells none there. GTA IV is another example. It has sold far more copies in Japan and Europe on the PS3 than it has on the 360.
