Similarities between $ony and M$ last Gen and this Gen..

 

Last Gen:

PS2 was released before the Xbox.

PS2 Had the exclusives.

PS2 being first on the market gave the Devs a favorite, easier, system to work on, so Ports went to Xbox.

Xbox was a more powerful system in some aspects.

Xbox had more bang for your buck, Hard drive, built in Ethernet and such.

Xbox games were in HD not the 480p games but the 720p and 1080i games, It was the first HD system.

 

This Gen:

360 was released before the PS3

360 Has the exclusives

360 being first on the market gave the Devs a favorite, easier, system to work on, so Ports went to PS3

PS3 is a more powerful system in some aspects

PS3 has more bang for your buck, Blu-Ray, WiFi, and such.

PS3 games are on Blu-Ray, it's the first Blu-Ray HD system.

 

 

I think that's a fair comparison between last gen and this gen.

As i've always been saying. This is a mirror of last gens war, just in reverse. The PS3 is the Xbox and the 360 is the PS2.

The 360 is still greatly different from the PS2 when you take games, demographics, and sales into account.

No. The only mistake the 360 made was rushing a faulty system. If people knew the technology was at least 90% reliable the 360 would've sold wayyyy more. Thats their only flaw. The Wii has made it's own way and thus the 360 sealed its second place and early passing of the last gen sales of the Xbox by using the PS2's gameplan. The PS3 is the Xbox because their run was exactly like the Xbox. The Wii is just like the gamecube... standing alone whether its at the bottom or at the top because it isn't HD or doesn't have playability like the other consoles.

I've taken notice that the 360 as the years go by the more demographics they focus on.

 PS3 is the gamecube? Such blasphemy, your opinion disturbs me... And Wii is the PS2? LOL oh please dont even go there. and as for the Xbox 360 and Xbox, thats quite off aswell, the 360 is far better "Games Wise" then that crap console.

All in all, i'd say the next gen consoles are "Mixs" of last gen with some Portable Spice to it.
