Is it huge? Or, is it now considered a flop? We need a new thread to discuss that. I'll start it later, if no one wants to beat me to it. :P
Also, Crazzy(and Diomedes, if he's reading from his ban), was VGChartz still cheating in favor of the 360, and if so, is NPD even more in the hole for Microsoft?
...or is it just possible that the PS3 and its software isn't selling as well as you'd hoped in the US?
The hits just keep on coming for Sony this month...it has not been a good time to be a Sony fan on a sales site.
This, of course, is the direct consequence of not dropping its price to compete with the 360. Maybe this will be a wake-up call for the company. Microsoft is not rolling over like Nintendo did. |
Read my above post, but almost every game sold less than we thought.
By a huge margin.

Hmm, if I understand this correctly, here are my conclusions.
Fable 2 appears to be dead on, and here's why, Source wrote:
That said, the VGC top ten for the Americas is as follows. The usual caveat applies – multiply the total by 0.9 to arrive at VGC estimates for what NPD USA figures will be for the period.
I assume the .9 is to track Canadian sales.
Fable 2's 2 week American/Canadian total for VGChartz is: 893,167
x.9 = 803,850
VGChartz = 804k
Actual = 790K
Well within the 10 percent margin for error.
LBP, on the other hand
348k according to VGChartz in US/Canada.
*.9 = 313,200
VGChartz = 313k
Actual = 215k
Looks like it was overtracked by about 30 percent.
That is, if I'm understanding this correctly. :P
Those are the only 2 games I care about on that list.
