Forums - PC - Ultimate LAN Game

Does anybody here play at LAN parties? If so, what's your ultimate LAN game?

I've thought about this long and hard, and I think mine's Tetrinet. It's quick to set up, it's free and everyone can get a copy of it quickly. If your LAN degenerates into people arguing over which FPS should be played next, exclaiming, "I have a Tetrinet server running" will get anyone still interested in gaming to join you.

We always use to do starcraft and counter strike, now adays its more of the psp Ad hoc monster hunter portable 2 g

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

I feel old lol, i used to lan 5-6yrs back then Counterstrike and Call of Duty was the most played at our local LAN. the odd person at the LAN would be playing an MMORPG, i would sigh and wonder why he turns up to a LAN to play a MMORPG lol, fun times.

I wish the network game would run under Vista as more and more computers seem to get that virus.

Never played a LAN game. I feel like I missed out on something big. I always wanted to play Halo or Mario Kart DD via lan. I'm online now, though. It's almost the same, right?

UT2004. Not as quick of a set up to install it on everyone's computer but Epic makes it really easy. You don't even need a CD key or a CD in the tray to play. It's extremely fast paced, quirky, people can't get mad about dying, and people who do the killing can really do some trash talking. A 6 hours spree of UT2004 on LAN has to be one of the most fun things I've ever done. We also try DOTA and Warcraft 3, and dabble in some other games, but UT2004 wins it all.

Well it's between Unreal and Starcraft and I'd have to give it to starcraft for me even though Unreal is played more I personally get more enjoyment out of starcraft. I used to play it every night till 4 in the morning with my friend from school he was the offensive guy and I was the support/defense with me and him on a team no one could take us down, I mean we even beat a few cheaters.
