I wonder where all those people who said the ps3 was being undertracked are now. Anyways Japanese market seems wierd now and maybe christmas time things will go back to normal.

The funny thing is many of the people who whined about VGC being off from Famitsu also have argued in the past that M-create is more accurate than Famitsu in weeks where their favored console had higher numbers on M-create.

I remember that aswell, infact it was this time last year when those debates started.

i actually favor dengeki, they take the time to count bundles and always released later than famitsu and media create.

Yup. It's been seen and done a million times. I've always used MC when chronicling the X360's sales on a weekly basis.

You can view every week the X360 has been around in Japan, via MC here

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Top 50 now up:

Original leak was perfect, gpara had one of the numbers rounded off incorrectly (#6). Pretty good source we have now then, early numbers with shipment data and also numbers for a title from outside of the top ten. Hopefully this will continue.

It mentions both GT5:p and LBP are the limited editions? Is it safe to assume that they've lumped all versions together then, i.e bundles included?

also lol at number 30 DS Gay character training? I never saw that one coming...

or has Google translate made an error?

lol, it's a Calligraphy trainer

30. [NDS] Beautiful Letter Training (Nintendo)

All versions are bunched together, so GT5:Ps3 includes PS3 bundles and the standard game on it's own (although the vast majority should be the PS3 bundle). LBP includes the normal game, PS3 bundle, and DS3 bundle. LBP does have a chance of having some minor legs if they don't discontinue the DS3 bundle. Nothing major, but I could see it having steady below the radar sales.

Awesome

Thanks for that, that makes a lot of sense.

As for Beautiful Letter Training, I think that has to go down as one of my favorite mistranslations of all time!
