I got my first RRoD. It took 21 months but it finally happend. I was playing Mega Man 9 then said let me hit Gears 2 instead of wasting my time. The minute I put in the game it freezes at the title screen. I reboot and see the dreaded three red symbols. I reboot again system comes back fine. I put another game in it freezes I reboot again RRoD.

What a time for the system to go? Holiday season right around the corner.

Well you still have a ps3 and wii to play with. Rent something over the weekend for it, something that you know you wouldn't buy, but feel like playing.

Hating it. I wanted to play Gears 2 and a few other back logged games.

well at least you can there is the 3 year warranty now. Sucks though man.

Well, just be happy your not a 360-Only owner, like that other dude said, rent something/buy for your PS3/Wii.

Sorry bout your 360 bud, this is exactly why im still scared to buy an Arcade model. MS and there damn flawed tech. T_T

call MS, they'll give you shipment info.
you'll get it back in 2-3 weeks, maybe even sooner.

That sucks. hopefully you can get it fixed or a replacement soon or something...

It's really not that big of a deal... MS generally fixes or replaces it 7-10 days from when you send it off.  A week without your XBOX won't ruin the holidays.  Actually, if you send it off now, you'll have it back well before Thanksgiving.
