Forums - Microsoft - Gears 2 just lost almost all the hype it had going for me...

Gee Twes. I loved those sections. It was a nice change of pace. Oh well. Can't please everybody. I figure you'll be in love with the game again by the next level, though.

What level are you playing on? If it's normal or less, then the game offers ZERO challenge. Bump it up to Hardcore!!

Their arteries!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I though much of that middle section sucked, and the sires part sucked. On hardcore, I literally killed every single one with my chainsaw but I did feel a little sick at the end of it

Everything was more badass, the weapons, enemies, levels, art, multiplayer, just everything really.

"Badass" and "Art" don't belong in the same sentence.

We disected earthworms in school, and they had a shitload of hearts. 5, I think. Your beef isn't with Epic. Your beef is with GOD!!

I expected a thread from you about the ending of this game. Anyway I loved the worm part. And Carmine :(...I liked him.

Poor Carmine... ;_;

I was so upset when he first fell into the worms mouth and then was so relieved when I got the chance to rescue him.  And then of course sad again when I actually found him.

I wear my helmet so I don't have to worry about gas!

Does he remind anyone else of Caboose from Red vs Blue?

Oh, man, I was SO sad when Carmine died even though I knew it was inevitable.  Now, unlike his brother, HE died a hero's death.    He was so enthusiastic... "Sarge...*cough* I can't believe we made it!"

I didn't really feel much about the part with Maria, though--save for the part leading up to what Dom did.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Ehhh, cant please everybody.....just goes to show that even amazing games like MGS4, LBP, Gears 2, ect, have their moments where individuals are like "come-on". I personally enjoyed those levels and thought they were a nice change of pace, but to each his own. The hype for this game will never end!

Unless this is your first shooter, playing it on casual is pitiful. The AI sucks. There is no sense of danger or accomplishment. I finished it on hardcore and it was quite the adventure. There was constant tension followed by satisfaction for completion. Then to get the tickers achievement I went back to the tunnel section on casual. Talk about lame. I could literally just tank explosion after explosion without a worry in the world.

The whole campaign was a fun ride but it's easy to dumb down the ride by lowering the difficulty.

I don't care what you think.

Wasn't it funny as all hell when Dom told him: "but you can't see Snipers as well"?  Ah man I almost spat up my beer when I heard that!
