Unreal Tournament III has an optional install

Why is BioShock's install so big? It fit onto a 4.7GB DVD with no install, even if they doubled that for textures and whatnot, that's 9.4 GB meaning they can put it on twice, or go dual layer and put it on four times.

5GB is ridiculous. The only other games I know of with that much are MGS4 and Oblivion. Both are huge.

At the moment, I have exactly 5GB left on my 360 hard drive. I won't be using this awesome feature too much anyway. At least, not until I upgrade.

The 360's are full installs that require a disk and are optional. The PS3 installs are partial installs that most games put as required. Sony has devlopers use non compressed information that takes up more space making full install not possible.
Now Sony installs need to be smaller especially the mandatory ones. 4gigs for TNA?

I don't think Sony will. I hope they wont.
They don't really need it, not as much as the 360 at least (not that the 360 actually needs it, not at all, but it's noise vs. quiet)
I just hope Sony try to come up with more original features. Making a tool for developers to allow for easier screenshot taking was a good idea (albeit a bit useless so far, but hopefully more developers will start using it).
