There are different levels of hype.
Mirror's edge is of the " it will sell a million copies so its a big hit" level
On the horizon , only KZ2 is of the potential "Savior" level.

It's because hyping an upcoming library makes you excited, and it makes your console feel good and look good.
The only problem is the game has to live up to the tremendous hype placed upon it on every level.
Games are just games. None of them are saviors.
