Forums - Sales - "LBP Will be HUGE"...

Ah, I remember that week, the week "LBP will be huge!" began. I was surprised that it lasted so long.

Great thread, and I hope people will realize that LBP has hardly flopped, though last weeks sales were somewhat disheartening.  We'll see how things continue over the coming weeks.

If it matters for anything I'd like to say that great games like Little Big Planet can only be found exclusively on the Playstation twizzle.


Also we must "take a wait and see approach."

^_^ Not like the game did bad anyway.. seems like everyone smells blood in the water and have their salt shakers ready.

Well, while LBP can only be found on the PSTriple, other great games can be found on all platforms.

1st Week sales - 350K

2nd Week sales - 66k

Thats a Massive 82% drop off LOL - HALO 3 "only" had a 80% drop. so much for LBP MASSSIVE LEGS!!!! i doubt GOW2 will come close to 82%

with halo 3 first week to lifetime ratio. LBP will barely cross 740k and possibly less because its dropping worse.

PS dont try to say it increased in its 2nd week cause all you losers were saying "BUT ITS WEEK 0, WEEK 0 I TELL YAH. REAL WEEK 1 IS WEEK 0 + 1 LOL LOL NOW LOOK HOW GOOD IT SOLD OMG 350K WEEK 1 ITS SO AWESOME"

 

So much trolling and flaming it's not even funny.

Those week 3 US numbers just came up.

Unexpectedly low imo, might have an adjustment on those.

Valkyria performed relatively strongly, though.

Agreed, 66k seems VERY low for a game like this. If those are the actual numbers then i doubt this will break too far into a million, if even that.

Yeah, I was doing some comparisons.

Seems like Fallout 3, just the Xbox 360 version, was able to significantly outsellf it, in 2 weeks, verses 3.

I think that this game will have legs in EU, but if these numbers are right, it isn't showing them immediately in the US.

I think either we'll have an upward adjustment, or we'll have an upswing of sales in the US during the holidays.

A game like this isn't supposed to be front loaded.

people have completely hyped this game soo much it has by tained by failure due outrageous expectation what a shame.

I was expecting to like it more than I did.  Glad I rented it first.  Definitely not buying it.  I don't "hate" it, but I really don't like it either.  The stick is way too touchy too.  Much too easy to jump up/down while trying to jump forward.  I don't like having to pay that much attention to where I place the stick.  That alone guaranteed i'm not buying it.  I play a ton of games, and if I was getting annoyed i'm sure there are quite a few out there with the same problem.

Glad valkyria is doing fairly well though.  That game ended up being a sleeper hit I never saw coming.
