I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.

It went live a few hours ago

Here it is (SD version):

A good score, certainly sounds like First Person platforming is a very viable genre after all.

EDIT: Here are my thoughts on the review (blacked out in case of review spoiler):

From the score it got, 8.3, it looks like this game could have been AAA material had it not been for a short campaign (7 hours) and a lack of other features other than speed running (competitive speed running would have been cooler I guess).

Also, I didn't know about the cartoon cutscenes, it really broke up the flow of the game (I feel).

AND at 6:21-23 there seems to be a weird stutter (or is that just my video) in game.

I'm not sold on the game yet myself (I mean 7 hours, come on!) but it looks like I was wrong (mostly) about First person platforming

lol, I really liked the music in that review. Renting it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I played the demo today I thought it was a lot of fun, very cool looking, I died a lot which I like I hate playing a game and feeling like I'm just playing an CG film cause I never die and the only reason to play it is for the story.

Also I got the feeling of "Man I wished the next tomb raider felt like this" Really I did cause think about it if you're going for treasure yet avoiding a lot of traps/pits/animals it makes perfect sense to have system much like that. Running, climbing, avoiding things, making your own path out of the dungeon.

Anyway it looks great, is fun, and plays great. I'm picking it up as soon as I can, I lost respect for EA at the end of the N64/PS1 days and hated them for all of last gen, but man they really made up for it this gen, the days of EA as a soulless corporation with no creativity at all seem to be over, now we get great ideas like this, cheers!

and the graphics are impresive :O

The music is awesome. Anyone know who it is by and what the songs are called?

Yeah, the music is awesome. Seems like an interesting experience to play this.

Sucks that the AI doesn't work especially when the most important reward in the game in realistic physical movement of your character.

Music is chill out which matches i guess. Would trance or d&b been better?

I watch this and think 2 things, 1 this looks innovative enough to be a worthy system seller for me, 2 Miyamoto's pacifist intent is perfect for an FPS without shooting and the Wii mote was engineered for something like this.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

thought i would add this for all those who love free running. This is the real deal, the thing which inspired the video game. Enjoy.

Pretty cool, Fei-Hung.

I'm still not bought on how they chose first person for this game. The view makes me feel so damn restricted, a flat TV screen just can't produce regular human eyesight. A platformer like this is one where view is more important than ever. Also, playing as chick isn't nearly as cool when you don't get to see her . Once I play it I'll see for myself if it's justified.

Either way, it definitely seems at least worthy of a rent. The music sounds great, I love the art style, and it is an attempt at something new (and from EA, of all companies).

@Fei-Hung: Cool vid.
