Forums - Nintendo - Whose getting Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World tomorrow?

Will be picking it up later today. IGN's review doesn't affect me at all. Especially considering the reviewer's problems with the game are present in almost every Jrpg out there. Also he makes it sound bad that a SPINOFF of a game is similar to the game it is spinning off of.

I bought the game in June, does that count. ;-p (JP release)

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

I'm not sadly, and since my bf is getting a Wii soon and since it's not region free, I'll have to wait till they release it in the UK, which doesn't even have a release date yet. T_T

Ugh...

I went by Target, 2 Wal Marts, 2 Gamestops and a Best Buy and none of them had it in stock yet... so it looks like I won't be getting it today.

Just got it! Along with Summon Night: Twin Age.

I got it a two hours ago. I've played for about 45mins, and so far I'm enjoying it. Not as much as the original, but still great. It's still early to judge though.

I can't play until Saturday, this is my "hell week" in University.

i have it coming from amazon already. heck reviews are retarded i don't trust them.

some of the games i have spent the most time playing and are in my top 5 favorite games for the system include

1. FE Radiant Dawn IGN - 8
2. One Piece Unlimited Adventure - IGN 6.8

and i'm sure if you go to metacritic or wherever you get mass # of reviews the scroes average is lower. Yet probably spent minimum of 100 hours playing each game. And I expect this tales game to be teh same.

I don't understand the low lasting appeal rating. It's a long RPG, that alone should score higher than majority of shooters. Sure the shooter may have multplayer, but if the said games multiplayer isn't more fun than another shooters multiplayer noone is gonna play that one thus no lasting appeal. And this tales game has some monster collecting thing where you can have some 100 different monsters join you and they evolve. that is like infinite replayability. Oh and if like first symphonia game then you play the game again with your titles and stuff, and the carry over factors.
