R2 is actually 720P (says so on the back of the box). That being said it's easily the 3rd best looking game on PS3 and it never chugs lags or chokes. Excellent, excellent visuals.

I've beaten gears 2 and you are obviously talking about one of sections of the game when your in a tank or brumak. And your either once again just being a stupid fanboy or are just plain ignorant. It's much more impressive when you have said 68 guys using enhanced ai while planes are flying over and explosions are going off close up and not when said 68 guys are walking in a straight path until you shoot at them and then they turn and shoot in place until you mow them down. That being said, I preffered the Gears 2 campaign more than I did R2's, but your post like always is just fanboy garbage.

I'll forget you post to offend people. People who post like that arent worth the time. And FYI alot of reviews for Gears 2 said it has the best AI in the business. Anyway, I'm off. I dont troll like some in a forum where I really dont have much to say thats gonna be agreeable.

Everybody's entitled to their own opinion. Witch is part of the reason I don't own R2, I'll stick with renting it.

 Obviously with your massive amount of posts I can see youve been here for all of about 5 days. So I'll let you into a secret. This is about my 5th post in the Sony section of the Forum in about 6 months. So yes I dont troll. I normally wait till it comes into the Gaming section. And I'm sure that the PS3 fans here will tell you that they almost never see me in the Sony section. So no, I dont troll.

Not that that matters.

What is significant is those people who wander into this thread not realizing that this particular assertion, that R2 is better than Gears 2 "in many ways," and that it "could be" the best shooter of the year, are not shared by a majority of gamers, reviewers, or press.

In fact, even this site couldn't come out and say R2 was better. simply because of the campaign modes. R2 might be competitive because of its online modes and multiplayer, but it doesn't have a better campaign than Gears 2, something some Sony fans have yet to accept as a general assumption. I believe most of these fans just haven't played R2 yet. The campaign is good, but it's not what we expected.

I don't think we're gonna see a lot of GotY awards for R2. I also think that as far as campaigns go, at the very least Gears 2 is better in that area, and probably a few other shooters as well. :P

That said, the single player campaign of Resistance 2 is a somewhat run-of-the-mill experience. It has some memorable, edge-of-your-seat moments—and a fair amount of bonus content in terms of unlockables, trophies, cheats, and hidden intel documents to find—but these are countered with some pretty boring corridor sections and periods of relative inactivity. You'll get your money's worth in the  roughly ten hours of solid action, but there is very little you haven't seen before, aside from some epic encounters late in the game.

 

You heard it from this article. Resistance 2's campaign sucks, is mediocre, run-of-the-mill, whatever you want to call it. It might be better than Gears 2 because of multiplayer, but that's it.

According to this article that is.

Remember that when you lend it credibility.

I only recently joined here a couple weeks ago, but I've come to this site for over a year now. I think I'm capable of making decisions on my own thank you. ;)
Your comment in here was pretty fanboyish but not like in that last thread. I'm sure I can ask those same users about a comment of Gears 2 blowing everything out of the water and making the ps3 not worth the price as a result and I'm fairly confident they'd agree it was a very fanboyish comment. But if your indeed not a fanboy I'm sure I can work with you on better wording your comments as you need it. Also, this thread is about a review about R2. Why come in here saying the article is BS for not mentioning something about Gears 2. I suggest you go check out there gears 2 review if you want that information.
