Forums - Gaming - Best Video Game Decade? 70's? 80's? 90's? 2000's?

80`s was great! 00`s is definitely the worst of all! Wtf is wrong with gaming these days?!
But without a doubt 90`s was the best. How many great games that are still being talked about came out in the 90`s? Some of the best, I tell ya! Think about it, best FF`s, CT, Goldeneye, OoT, Mario64, Mario RPG, Evermore, Mana, Comix Zone, Sonic, Super Mario World, Yoshi`s Island, Donkey Kong Country... Aaaaaaahhhh... too..... much ...... nostalgia .... head........ exploding...

The 1940s.

The first pinball table with flippers was introduced in 1947. It dramatically increased player interactivity, transforming it from a game of luck into a game of skill.

40's? Are you telling me you like the first pinball table than all the best video games in the 70's, 80's, 90's, or 2000's, combined?

07-08 are my favourite gaming years the third one is 98 I go with the 00's.

Along with the general consensus, I say.....

90
80
2000
70

Though 86-96 is the best 10 year spread.

90's by far. Imo, recent gaming years are pitiful in comparison. I spend most of my time to this day replaying old classics or playing the ones I didn't play back then and I'm having a blast!

90's... the transition to 3D with games like Final Fantasy VII (best game of all time), the Resident Evil series, the Metal Gear Solid series. To this day these are my three favorite game series.

but the 2000's may be able to change that in the next couple of years.

90's: SNES + N64 = Epic Win

What decade of video games, do you cherish the most?

Personally...

1. 90's

2. 80's

3. 2000's

4. 70's

90's is definitely my favorite decade, partly because it made up most of my childhood, but that's really not the main reason. The Super Nintendo and Genesis saw many genius creations like Super Mario World, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario All-Stars + many more, and there was never any bullshit that diluted them. No Delfinos (Super Mario Sunshine), Miis (Mario Kart Wii), Library (Super Mario Galaxy), humans (Sonic the Hedgehog), or anything that did not fit into their universes. They were, what they were, and what they were, were awesome. Super Mario World is the first game I ever played, and it's still fun to play this very day. I used to video tape myself playing the Donkey Kong Country games back when I was about 8, yelling at the games, saying the most ridiculous things like, "That's bad manners," or some shit like that, every time I died... Those were the days... Then there's all those old school commercials, back when they didn't suck, and were actually funny. Then the Nintendo 64, Saturn, and Playstation came out, and they kicked ass too, and Crash Bandicoot, Sony's Mario, stood beside Sonic and Mario, and was the only time we had three video game mascots, that perfectly mirrored Sony, Sega, and Mario. Rumble was brand new, as well as 3D. Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and later on, Sonic Adventure, released for the Dreamcast. Looking back, it's all so nostalgic now, and it all had that old-school atmosphere to it.

your answer would exactly what i would have said but i switched 80's and 2000's

1. 90's

2. 2000's

3. 80's

4. 70's
