I wonder what the sales would be if it wasn't bundled with every single Wii console

It's only bundled in America and Others.  in Japan it has sold about 2.8 million in comparsion to the Wii's 6.96 million in the region.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Yes apparently it is. I still think, however, even without bundles this game would have sold well over 20 million by now anyways.

Despite it's attachment ratio being less than 50% in Japan and the system not having sold 40 million copies yet?

Wii sports will most likely beat Mario because later NES systems were packaged with other game and hey the population of Europe and America have grown a bit in 20 years.

Was it bundled only in USA or does any other region that has it bundled?

Well it sells full price still in Japan, I don't think it would have managed quite such an attach ratio in the West but it would be at least 5 million in both America and Europe.

My guess is it would be roughly at Wii Play sales.

Wii sports is the icon of this gen. So this second place in sales is logical.

Go buy Metroid OTHER M!

Wii code: 6775-1034-2238-1634

PSN: birdie93      XBL: luthor93

3DS: 3909-7597-9889

You can add me, I won't stop you!

My website: www.fight4custom.com

It has an almost 50% attach ratio in Japan, so taking that figure out to the rest of the World, it would probably be at 18 million. Note that it's a bad thing to do since we dont know how many people rally bought the Wii for Wii Sports outside Japan, but its a decent guesstimation.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Thats bullshit, Wii Sports could have been sold seperatly and with the amount of PR / advertising and MASSIVE cultural movement and interest in the remote itself the game easily would get to 20 mill. even 25 mill.

Can anyone possibly imagine buying their Wii and not buying Wii Sports? And dont lie either, everyone would have bought it.

@megaman79 are you talking to me?

na man, its cool. Just sayin generally it is bizarre given what we have seen in terms of the Wii and its relationship to WS how anyone could assume that people buying the Wii won't get WS.

Yes the 50% japan attach ratio is destroying my thesis but it is irrelevent bcoz on every tv show, ad, product placement, etc the two objects became synonymous with each other.
