All I saw was doom and gloom before this game launched!
LittleBigPlanet did well for what it is. It is certainly not huge in any sense of the word sales-wise.
But relative to expectations, LBP is a tremendous bomb.

EVERYONE was perdicting less than 20k in first weeks sales in japan!
Its just not hardcore
None of my PS3 owning friends (all 30 somethings now) have purchased this game.
They think its for Kids.
Its still a great game and may well be a slowburner.....

Dude, max, stop associating one fanboy with "everyone." You can deny all you want, the Sony fanboy expectations (LBD will outsell 10 mil or LBD will kill Mario, and LBD is going to be the hugest thing ever).
No one expected to be as big as fanboys were making it out to be. So you can deny all the overhype fanboys were giving it till your face turns purple, but that won't change the fact.
PS. The second link you posted in this thread is just someone asking a "what if" question, it wasn't a prediction thread.

1 person makes an outrageous claim = every fan of the same console shares that opinion.
