Im not a big COD4 player. But i have a lot of friends that are...and none of them are excited about COD WaW. Which is a shame since I love the fact it has coop and Nazi Zombies...

Issue 1 is COD 4 was by infinity ward this installment is by treyarch. Issue 2 last one was modern warfare this one is back to WWII which people are getting tired of Issue 3 HOw many shooters have come out in the past weeks, Far cry 2, Gears 2, resistance 2, Fallout 3 (different type but a shooter).
Having said that
Week 4 500k X360, 300k PS3, 100k Wii.
I would have never thought I would say this too many good games coming
PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.
Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game
Xbox live:mywiferocks
360- 600k
ps3 - 250k
wii- 180k
I could be wrong and will probaly be wrong but i dont think it will sell good as Cod4 even with larger userbase, when Cod4 released it didnt had much competition in shooters except Halo 3, this time it will go against Gears 2 and Resistance 2 two great games and shooters for each console.

Waaay too much for 360 and a decent bit too much for PS3.
1. It has serious competition 2. It plays in WWII 3. Many gamers will stay with Call of Duty 4 (thx to the excellent MP) 4. It's made by Treyarch 5. It's NOT called Call of Duty "5" |
1. Like all games released on holidays. Also like CoD4. And it didn't stop it from selling 10 mln just last year.
2. Why would it be a problem? I don't think that CoD4 sold so well becouse it was in modern time but becouse it was great.
3. So a good prequel (orginal game) will hurt sequal sales? That's pretty stupid argument if you ask me.
4. So? How many potential buyers know this or even know what Treyarch is? (I don't).
5. A name shouldn't have to big influene, should it?
My prediction:
X360 - 2 mln
PS3 - 1 mln
Wii - 60k
First week:
Wii: 800k
360: 600k
Ps3: 400k
End of the year:
Wii: 2 million
360: 1,2 million
ps3: 800k
LT:
Wii: 5 million
360: 2 million
ps3: 1 million
Something like that. Wii has a lot bigger userbase than other consoles and in my opinion, wii somewhat lacks at fps-games. So this should sell a LOT.
Nobody bought COD 4 first week knowing how awesome it would be, they only had reviews tell them how awesome it was. That said it did over a million week 1 for the 360.
COD:WaW is releasing in the same time period, with great reviews and a MASSIVE fanbase. Unlike many other games COD4 sold on word of mouth because it was so good. So I think a lot of those fans will be eager to pick this one up. Not to mention since 4 another 10 million 360's have been sold.
I am only going to predict 360 first week but I reckon 1.6 mill

You really think it will sell that much on Wii and beat the 360 version lifetime sales with 3 million.
I don't think it will sell that high.
Somehow I doubt that most of the players that just got GoW2 or Re2 and that like the online modes are going to fork 60$ over for another game of the same kind...
Personally I bought Re2, I will rent CoD:Wow as aside from the single player campaign I am not looking for another online FPS as Resistance 2 satisfies me in that area ( CooP FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Some very interesting predictions I might say. But it's obvious our ranges are off the charts... literally so it seems the general consensus is not knowing how it'll sell haha.
I think the 360 version will do less than the same of COD4 while the PS3 version will have similar trends. But of course we have no trends to go off on Wii aside from COD3 which sold 370,000 in America and approximately another 300,000 in Europe/Other. Of course it's always inflated considering it's a launch title but it's really hard to tell about Wii. It could do really really bad or do really really good. Although I still think moderation between those 2 is what it will be who really knows. But I think the 360 and PS3 versions are pretty easy to predict just depends on how much less than COD4 on their respective platforms.
