I know this is late but I will most likely wait till the GOTY edition which MSFT is famous for.  Anyway, I like Pandemic and Bioware but I also liked GeoW1 too.  Please help or I will get the ohhh noessssss!!!

Fallout 3 (Action/RPG)

RPGs = Replay Value

If you have Live then Gears of War 2. Multiplayer is great. If not then Fallout 3 since all of it's replay value lies in the single player.

Why did you mention Pandemic and BioWare? Anyways, I think it boils down to SP vs. MP. If you're in the mood for a long, deep SP game, Fallout 3. Otherwise, Gears 2.

i have to agree. it depends on the type of game you are playing. Fallout 3 is most known for its single player with its very descriptive detail and intense action. Gears of War 2 is very popular for its multiplayer.

bang for buck? if you have live, Gears of War 2.

I don't know (or care really) how long Fallout 3 is, but online multiplayer, especially for a game as big as Gears 2, is basically unlimited playtime (Halo 2 shows that this is true).

But that's not to say Gears 2 is the better experience, but for bang for buck it is the one to buy.

Games like Fallout can practically be played forever due to the wandering, open nature of the game. So from that perspective, it's a better "value" if you don't buy many games, but like to play a lot.

Gears 2 is endless online fun, assuming you're into online matches. As a single player game, you won't get nearly as many hours out of it unless you enjoy beating shooters over and over.

so wait...your potential buck? so you dont know if you will have the cash yet? wouldnt it be better to have said potential bang for my buck?

Fallout 3 is a great Epic RPG definately worth pickin up it will give you hours and hours of fun and challenge.

If you love Multiplayerand shooters then pick GoW 2
