Indeed, Sony sure are good at clucking up when it comes to matketing.

With these reviews? IGN 9.5? No way.
Although Insomniac has more than enough employees to do both excellently.

kz2 too have more hype from what i heard everybody who have played both says it's a better game.
R2 its awesome though
Honestly, I'd say KZ2. I love the Resistance franchise, but after hearing such amazing things from people in the KZ2 beta, and seeing that amazing trailer, I'd have to give the (huge) edge to KZ2. I still expect R2's sales to be very good, however.
Killzone 2 beta was better than Resistance 2 beta, and K2 is coming out in February with no competition, the only thing Resistance 2 is the online co op which I really enjoyed, Killzone 2 is rumored to have an online co op too, I'm hoping for it. I'll probably end up owning both.
I haven't played the betas of either but i played the 1st of both, Killzone 1 wasnt that good at all.
