for Resistance 1 COD4 wasn't competition but indirectly its gonna lead to many people buying COD 5 instead of Resistance 2!

I dont understand why you guys are saying this, Pacific rift sold bad because the game isnt as good as the first. The demo was absolute crap, who would buy a game after playing a demo that is just crap.

R2 on the other hand should sell very well...atleast thats what I think

I can't tell you how shocked I was by Motorstorm 2 tanking.....a week ago I was all MS2 will beat Resistance 2 in sales

thats reduced my confidence in it + I thought COD 5 will have a negative impact.

BUT the fact remains Resistance 2 WAS MORE HYPED than MS PR & has gotten blazing reviews!

so I HOPE I am proved wrong as its truly deserving!

I love my ps3 just as much as anyone. Enough to shell out $600 at launch anyway. But really, 5 million??? I'll be happy if it breaks two million but I can't see it breaking 3 like the first. And 5 million??? Hell, we don't even know if MGS4 will make 5 million and unfortunately it doesn't look like it. I personally think it will rest somewhere right above four million lifetime. 4-4.3

it won't reach the numbers of it's predecessors unless it's bundled for a long time. Shame I really like the game.
