Going with the trends shown by Motorstorm, the other launch title to recieve an update is RFOM 2. Since it was available with little competition and since then a whole range of shooters have been released on the console.

This time its competing with: Call of Duty IV (Still selling), Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, Far Cry 2 and in a few months time Killzone 2. I doubt that it will be bundled either, Sony would most likely prefer to bundle 1st parties rather than pay insomniac for the priviledge. It doesn't have the luxury of not competing with other games on the system.

With all the new titles being released, perhaps it might end up getting lost in the shuffle, especially with all eyes now pointing at KZ2s imminent release.

Not trying to troll, even stealthily but hey unpopular predictions are made all the time.

early indications are KZ2 kicks Resistance 2's ass.....if we are to take the word of the people in the BETA for both games.

i agree with you. So far all the games that us fans were hyping have all failed to sell to our standards starting with LBP.

maybe ps3 fans dont buy games. RIGHT.

with the economy as it is, I doubt Mario Galaxy 2 would sell as well the first did...

A new IP just sold 400K in 1 week (without including PS3's strongest regions SW).....despite being on the Ps3 & being a platformer (R & C sold much less in Week 1)

I say it hits 3M!!! But wouldn't bother me... am more hyped about Killzone. Am getting both games though.

From reports about KZ2 and a link MM476 sent me today on steam, the game kicks some major booty. Between it and L4D I have all my multiplayer needs more than covered. Thats one major reason I guess for my prediction.

I agree that it will sell significantly less, but I still say 1.5 lifetime.
