I May be mistaken zen, but i saw a topic you made not to long ago stating "Reviews by Offical gaming websites dont matter" or something like that... so... lol wut?

I also made this thread:
http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47859
Here's what we got:
A lot of PS3 fans trying to discredit me, by tracking my posts, and hoping I don't write "IMO" or "reviews don't matter, fyi" in every post. Everytime I come up with the same answer, so listen up:
If I say a game is great in a thread that also has a numerical score in it, I'm might not be referring to the number. In fact, I'm usually referring to the written review(words and opinions of people I trust, not numbers). In this case I wasn't, allow me to explain:
Let me get one thing straight. I think that I know more about most games, and I also think that I have better taste than about 99.999% of people on this forum.
I didn't need to watch that review, to know Valve games are great.
I do, however, need you to watch the review, so you can work it out in your mind, for yourself.
I can't tell you how everything is, your mind won't allow it. You have free will, stubborn-ness, and angst. You're a human.
Therefore, I must guide you to the truth, without you realizing it.
By saying the game is great, I'm making a mental suggestion. Backing it up with a numerical review(which I didn't actually do in this case), doesn't mean I care about the review, it means that most people do.
I told you all that this game was great, months, weeks, days, and hours ago. I was right, I knew I was, and everyone else should have known it as well. This doesn't prove I'm right. My opinion can't be right. However, it's right. Paradox.
I'm simply repeating that opinion:
L4D is another great shooter for gamers this holiday. Duh.
Who needs a review to tell them that? I certainly don't. Apparently the vast majority of people here do though, but I digress.
Just becuase you don't understand WHY I know something, doesn't mean that you shouldn't accept that I do actually know it. I ponder how many times such things must happen before I'm finally trusted, then I realize that most people hope I'm wrong. No matter how thin the chances are that I am. I'm usually not. Bet that I am, is a suckers bet.
If people didn't misunderstand me, I wouldn't be brilliant. |
