I see your point, but I was thinking in terms of companies trying new hardware options.  I should have been more clear.  The fact developers are not familiar with PS3 hardware is indeed bad for Sony.  Needless to say, there are a lot of potential sales on PS3, so I think we'll see a port.  The bad thing is EA would probably do it, lets just hope it's a good port this time.

After seeing the zombie like creatures attack on R2, I am not too fussed if Left4Dead doesn't come on the PS3. Now GeoW is another story altogether and even that depends on how good Quantum Theory is.

What I would really like a port of is Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. new better textures and upscaled graphics with maybe a few new levels. Now that would be a killer must buy port!

Well Valve is surely not against the game releasing on PS3, they're not fanboys. They just don't have the time/money/interest in making the PS3 port. If Valve sells the publishing rights for the PS3 version of the game to EA Valve will make money without having to do anything. EA will take care of the porting.

Valve doesn't like the PS3 architecture. It has been known for sometime. The 360 wouldn't be getting ports from Valve if MS didn't put so much effort into making PC titles easy to port to 360. If EA wants to do L4D for PS3 it will come out eventually but it sounds like Valve won't give any assistance to the EA dev team at all this time around.

I think there is a chance it will get ported by no time soon. You want to play it PC and 360 is your best option. I think as PS3 user base grows valve is coming around to the afct you cant ignore the PS3 though

Thing is that 360 sells sh*tloads of software and with the PC enough for Valve to not be hassling with PS3 ports.

Lets see, most of the sites hate PS3 and PS3 fans can't trust them. And now you can't even trust all developers because some of them hate PS3 so theres even less love for PS3 than before. So whats left in the end? Only Sony & its loyal fans? :P

This is just so ridiculous... They make games to make money! Companies make consoles to make money! They both aren't your friends. I am quite sure that Sony would like to switch places with nintendo if it could. It wouldn't have even second thought about it because of some stupid fans. Valve won't make games for PS3, because they think its not profitable enough. Just deal with it...
