Hi. I have been visiting vgchartz for a few months now (when it had a diferent name - cant remember though) but i have only posted yesterday.

The reason is because since I live in Brazil where new consoles are really expensive (if you think a PS3 is expensive in the US, you have no idea what it costs here - 1900 reais which is about 950 dollars, and each game costs 110 dollars), so I am always behind when it comes to gaming but I keep up to gaming sites.

I dont normally post in forums due to my really slow typing. However, I have found the discussions here very interesting and funny and as time passed I kept coming back for more.

Finally, I decided to try and pitch in and, who knows, maybe talk about the perspective of a 3rd world country in terms  of market. For the mods and admin, keep up the good work.

Hio. I've been a member for some months now I guess, but I lurked for longer before that. At first I just wanted to see the chart updates, but then I started reading some forum threads and was impressed with the overall level of competence in the discussions. And bored at work as I was, I figured eh what the hell, let's jump in.

I tend to avoid joining the discussion in threads concerning statistics, partly because I'm not an expert in the area (don't have the personal interest to be such) and don't know how much I could really contribute, and partly because I'm happy to just wait and see how the console wars turn out (I have my personal predictions, and they're informed ones, but I won't go into the numbers as deeply as others to explain them.)

I like posting about the state of the industry, game design principles, games as art, mature content in video-games, and other more general topics in gaming. That's my fortee. I also like crackin' wise about yo mamma.

Great site, ioi; it's good to see that you care about what you're doing here. The site looks better all the time. (I note you took the Beta label down and made the letters all pretty. Wheee!)
