i pick up the last copy of a whole chain of video game stores sti games XD

We have LittleBigPlanet at the store I work at, unfortantely its in the A-Z section of the PS3 isle. Its not being advertised at all anymore due to the recall. Sales of the game has greatly, greatly suffered. (We stock 12 units instead of 100+, like many of the other new release games (Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, etc). Its not even allowed under the New releases section.

Shame, sony spent alot of money on advertisement and it seems to be going to waste here.

In the UK my two local game shops (GAME and Gamestation) did not stock it. I had to travel around 10 miles to the next GAME and they still didn't have it. Luckily the guy pointed out Blockbuster across the street had it. :\

in rotterdam central there whas even a line for littlebigplanet and gears of war2.

my prediction of LBP sales in the EU is. i think round 500k

Same thing seems to have happened here in Switzerland. Few stores have a few units placed within the masses of other games. It really seems the recall botched up distribution and advertising...

it could have done much better but scattered launches and loss of hype all are the reason for loss of interest in this title... and distribution and management is equally responsible.. they could have used these extra week to 10 days to create even more hype but they unfortunately decided to bury it..

I already posted it but can't help saying this again: it's shame LBP went wrong console. It'd be unimaginably better on Wii. Hell, even 360 may push it quite higher as Microsoft management knows their job. Imagine NXE with sackboy avatars!

It has valid point to do with the line in thread, that LBP (launch) sales are hampered down by the publisher lack of balls will. They've been communicating it's their biggest release this year, yet they let it melt down. Now enjoy yourself.

Update on my previous post: I was in Walmart tonight, and like I now do every time I am in a store that sells games, I wandered back. (I blame vgchartz.) They have it in finally.

Other stores have had it since the delayed launch.
