Seriously when did all this circle jerk begin over Metacritic?  Every topic literally when it comes to deciding a game lately is usually ""lol its 99% on metacritic it must be the best game ever right?"" or ""At least I can get a non baised oppion from Metacritic!""  or ""You can't even say anything bad about this game...METACRITIC COMMANDS.""

Your forgetting something important.  I don't care.  Seriously, if you think I'm going to suddenly go ""Well if metacritic said so, YOU MUST BE RIGHT.""  I rather drink bleach then ever have that choice of option.  Case of example.

GODHAND, 73-  Already failed in the first example.  GODHAND is a five out of five fists in your face.

Assassins Creed, 81-  Garbage glitchy game, yet scores higher than GODHAND...see the pattern here?

MGS4 94-  LOL silly metacritic, MGS4 is a movie, not a game.  Typical poor website maintenance.

GAT4 98-  Oh joy a game with LESS gameplay then the last three games in the series scores higher.

You see Metacritic is absolutly pointless due to the fact most of the reviews it uses on its site are from the same shitty incompetitant reviewers we alrady know.  Now if only metacritic told most this forum to stop quoting it....Now THAT be wonderful.

You see, I disagree with you about MGS4, so why are you right? I cant say Wii has no AAA games because I dont like any of them - there has to be an unbiased medium to determine these things. You can hate and love whatever you want, but to anybody besides yourself that opinion has no real weight.

I also agree. The whole idea that if a game scores 90+ on metacritic means it is a AAA game is insane. Wii Sports is not 90+ on that site, but it sure as hell is a AAA game. Uncharted, Motorstorm, Resistance are all not AAA by that sites book, but for the PS3 they are a good portion of why people have a PS3.

REVIEW SCORES mean next to nothing. Reviews are a good way to get a full picture of the games you are interested in, but it really all comes down to the text. I have read countless reviews for all systems that have recieved obvious bias. When a reviewer says "a lot of problems, but the good outways the bad 9.5/10". Then on the next review they say "This game does a good job in all areas, but it lacks anything we have not seen before 7/10". This to me shows there is something seriously wrong.




Oh Yeah Metal Gear Solid 4 is amazing, and that score is completely in line. It offers plenty of gameplay, and at some of the best quality this generation.

So... what you're saying is to stop letting others tell us what's good and what isn't, while at the same time doing exactly that.

I really think that if everyone just went by Zenfoldor's opinions, we'd live in a correct society.

The OP has a point. There are many genres of games that I won't like despite how high the score is. e.g. Mario Kart Wii, since I don't like racers at all.
