I don't know why they decided to release dewy and guilty gear on a week like this. HGS and mario party and oblivion are taking all the sales on the 3 platforms.

About the Dewy, it is said as justified grievance for Konami. Because Elebits was said "it is nice game", Some users have strong expectations for Dewy... But Konami's choice broke them...

On the other hand, about guilty gear, it is simply divine justice. PS2 version was too buggy, so it bacame callback. After doing such a critical trouble, it isn't surprising it becomes few sales.

ok so you're saying that Dewy is a much worse game than elebits or that it was just released on the wrong week?

I said as latter. If konami choised to releas Dewy next month, they could get better results. Some people think so.

Wow, congratulations on becoming a mod, y-koron!!! You definitely deserve it with such a great contribution to the site.

I feel there is something funny going on with Konami and Nintendo. Is there any bad blood/history between the companies?

As I have mentioned more than a few times now - Konami are IMO the last/only major developer to NOT support Nintendo properly.

They seem to release "token" games - especially for the Wii - while keeping all their big guns for Sony platforms.

Its almost as if the token releases are just there to say "See - we are supporting Nintendo" - where as their real (and sort of obvious?) strategy is to solely support Sony platforms.

Am I exagurating? DDR is coming to the Wii at least.

...

Has there been any/much publicity for Dewy? I don't even think I have seen a Famitsu score for it?

Gesta Non Verba

Nooo I really want Dewy to do good. Konami's doing great with experimental titles (elebits -> Dewy) and I'm hoping Dewy does good enough that they keep expanding this niche.

Overall, I thing Hot Shots golf "beat" Mario Party, even if sales are so close, simply because it's user base is far smaller. Either way, a good showing for each, Mario Party will become a WW million seller next week it seems.

If anything, Konami takes a weaving course by themselves. And there is few publicity for Dewy...

So Guilty Gear on Wii just came out this week and it flopped? And the PS2 version is buggy... and so is the Wii version?

Well this is very bad news. I'll have to take this out of my buy list for Wii and it was one of only 3 guaranteed purchases on Wii this year that weren't Nintendo games...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Couldn't agree with you more. I hate to see it bomb, it really looks like a beautiful and adorable game. Got myself a version, hopefully I won't be dissappointed as with a few other titles lately :( I personally really liked Elebits so I've got good hopes for this game. Are there any interests in Forever Blue in Japan? Got surprisely enough good scores from Famitsu.

It is seemed Bugs are fixed in Wii version. The trouble of PS2 version(too many severe bugs to play normally)  has severe repercussions on the sales of Wii version...

COngratulations for being a mod Y-koron !

As for the sales the "over 100K " could be somewhat misleading as it could very well be some 150K as people were telling yesterday .Maybe somewhere in between 100K-125K .Good sales for MP ,although less than some expeted due to high precommands .Its not a good game ,I expect it not to beat the excellent HSG .

As for other titles ,very interesting the entries of Oblivion and Liberty City stories ....they could end the week with some 70K and 40K for the first week ,a good score .

Gundam and Dewy bombed hard ,thats for sure .Wangan Midnight didnt do too well ,with some luck it can enter the Top 20 but I expected something better .

Just a doubt Y-Koron ,when is the PS3 version of Oblivion coming in Japan ?
