I believe I've figured why fanboys like to gloat.  It's because of something I like to call insecurity.  They feel the need to "shout from the heavens" that their console of choice is the best choice because they're not completely assured that it is.  Also they seem to value reviews because having more AAA games on their console seems to justify their beliefs.  All and all, Microsoft and Sony know how market upon fanboys insecurities with commercials that show review scores.  examples of this (the US PURE Commercial was full of review scores and quotes, I also remember seeing several Devil May Cry scores on its US commercials).

Hey, if they can take advantage of it, then why the hell not right? *speaking of using scores in commercials to pull in the "insecure" crowd.

I don't find to many opportunities to mess with Nintendo fanboys or MS fanboys... one doesn't even have to gloat and the other is a vast minority on these forums. I do have fun with some of our local sony fanboys... they have this thing about blowing shit so out of proportions it's almost laughable... some of the numbers they pull out their asses just blow my mind... and so I pick on them... sometimes I feel bad about it... then I get over it
