Bundles are nothing new and the price drop is a global thing.

Could be.. I was in London a few weeks ago and saw a lot more ads for the 360 then in the Netherlands... Maybe Microsoft isn't willing to pay for a lot of money to localize all the ads.. It's expensive to make a ad campaign for the whole of europe.. every country is different: different languages, different lifestyles, different general income etc

in italy we have at the moment 5 differents tv ads : fallout3 (with the only 360 logo), pes(with Messi and only 360 logo), and 3 ads for xbox 360 experience.

In italy this week 360 overtook wii in week sales.

My theory has always been:

It's not that Europeans really love Sony. We just really dislike Microsoft.

MS concentrates it's European efforts in the UK which is by far the single biggest consumer of game ralated products in Europe. The 360 has done well and continues to do so in the UK.

It might also be worth pointing out that the 360 is actually still ahead of the PS3 in console sales in Europe.

microsoft fault was that they didnt buy the exclusive rights of advertisment during Ch. league matches. SONY marketing won there...

 Actually, if you take the EU countries only, PS3 is ahead of 360 by a smidgen. Its the other regions that put 360 ahead.

Also its a completely different story between UK and mainland Europe as even the 360 version of FIFA/PES is outselling the PS3 version. Its a complete whitewash in most other EU countries.
