From those videos the SP alone makes this look like a good rental. The MP looks awful though. It's hard to figure out what the graphics are really like from low-rez youtube videos.

Confirmed! amp likes it... therefore it has been moved from my "no" list to my "maybe" list.

.... to be honest I just need to try the controls for a couple of hours to know whether I will like it.... the poor (or by the looks of it, schizophrenically good/bad) graphics don't bother me.... the framerate does bother me a bit, and to be honest given the ease of developement on the Wii shouldn't be a problem for any decent developers... but it should be ok.

Am sick of all the bad reviews given by all these snob-core reviewers. It seems to be everywhere. Seems as if most of these reviewers are ps360 owners and do all they can to make the Wii fail. Then they can come out with their "core games don't sell well on Wii" shit! Am sure they would sell better if it wasn't for these biased reviews! Haven't played QOS but am sure worse graphics can be compensated by better control scheme if these games are being compared to their HD counterparts.

I picked up a copy of EDGE the other day, JUST to look at the reviews and surprise surprise you could practically guess the platform just by looking at the score. They have always been the biggest graphics whores, the snobbiest of the snob-core.

Before you read my rant below, please understand that the Wii is the only console of this generation I own so far.  Our PS3 was just bought and will not be unboxed until after Christmas.  So I am not some PS360 fanboy trashing the new approach taken by Nintendo.

If you actuallly read the IGN review, you would have realized that they were lamenting the fact that the game could have been fun if made properly.  They say that the game is plagued by unplayable framerates at the worst possible time, sluggish controls, visuals that look decent in some parts and terrible in others, and an overall lack of polish.  I haven't played the game, so I can't say for sure how accurate they are, but if they did see the issues, the game needs to be knocked down in scores appropriately.  Releasing a botched game that does not do everything as well as it should is on the shoulders of the developers.  The same reviewers also slaughtered the Wii port of Brothers in Arms, and they were comparing that game to the PS2 version which certainly was not any better graphically.   They also heaped more praise on the Wii port of the World of Goo than the higher resolution PC version and also loved the reto 8-bit graphics of Mega Man 9.  The reviewers can are capable of seeing past the graphics and enjoy gameplay like you and I do.  The truth of the matter is most Wii games that have come out this year have been terrible.  A Wii fan should be much more pissed about that than the review scores of these terrible games.

Third party developers are obviosly not prioritizing Wii projects, and big N is not stepping up and releasing quality games.  Wii Music is an abomination, and if Animal Crossing also sucks, then all of us Wii owners are in for a terrible holiday season.  The Wii might still sell out over the next few months, but it would be due to the games relased over the last couple of years and early this year.

Yes i suppose developers have a lot to answer to as well. I wasn't just talking about QOS review though. Not just on the internet either. I do see your point about developers though. Am sure if they actually put in an effort on Wii they would be rewarded sales-wise.

ign doesn't give out bad for reviews for the sake of giving out bad reviews. they have been wrong before (most obvious example would be god hand) so why not just rent/buy to see if their contentions are correct instead of making ridiculous accustations.
