Good numbers across the board on all platforms. Numbers are increasing due to upcoming Xmas holiday period.

I am not gonna rub this in to anyone. But the 360 has been doing very well here in UK if that is any sign for Others. In fact the word 360 is the HD console of choice here. Also those new adds M$ have have been playing non stop.

Xbox360 is a beast.

Am very happy for MS seeing that their results in Others are good (and much better that first believed thanks to the recent adjustements). They are the aggressive ones (in terms of spending on marketing, getting games out, cutting their prices, etc...), so good for them.

I can't believe the Wii numbers just staying that high despite, and I don't like saying this, no new software (though I did buy Disaster last week, and by the looks of things, might have been the only one, shame as it is refreshingly good game).

PS3 doing very good as well, good new releases (just bought LBP, might go for Dead Space as well), and a price point that doesn't make it very appealing to the in comparison to the competition (especially with many multi plats coming out at the moment, and I don't buy LBP being a system seller, or even huge, right now it isn't "doing it" for me, though that could change).

This gen is all about being released on or after the date of release of the Nintendo DS, and, well judging from the sales of the DS and Wii, I would say this will be a gen remembered as the one where innovative consoles, controls and games were met with greater success than graphics.

Secondly, the PS2 was casual

the GC had the hardcore Nintendo fan

the xbox had the hardcore shooter fan.

This gen, the Wii has hardcore nintendo fans and the extended audience, the 360 has hardcore shooter fans and various other, the PS3 is relegated to the position the GC had

So 360 price cut had more impact that it seemed. Can't believe how strong sales are in general given economy.
