Did no one try this game on an SDTV pre-launch?

If I was managing the test team in a game, I'd make half the team use SDTVs and half of it use HDTVs at any given time. It's completely unprofessional to let something like this go untested (or worse, to know about it and not do anything).

Maybe Mr A assumed it was mr B's job and vice versa , it's not that big a problem is it ? the game still looks pretty amazing.

And it's not like you should really be gaming with a 360 on a SDTV unless there really is no alternative.

On my HD tv, the text is a bit of an eyesore to read. What happened to voice acting with the option for subtitles?

i will not be buying banjo now, no chance. the arrogance of rare to say they wont fix is just beyond me...........banjo is a massive massive game for rare to propel them back to the good old days..............i feel many 360 owners will feel the same way especially sd ppl. i do hower feel that wanjo will be plicked up by many gamers especially in the states as its debuting at a budget price. its still 39.99 over here

That would just further my point that the team was not well organized/managed. The whole point of having managers is to coordinate essential tasks.

I also wonder about Microsoft's certification process; it should definitely include SDTV testing.

they didnt do voice acting for this game.  they used the same kind of voices they had on the older games.

Pfft this isn't a big deal at all. I love playing games 30 feet away from the TV with binoculars. I mean who doesn't right?

In all seriousness its unfortunate but it's in a lot more games than just BK. A friend of mine was playing Fable 2 on his SDTV and he could barely see the health bar and of course the text was hard to distinguish and read. It's unfortunate and yes Rare made a mistake but its not going to kill the game or anything. I can read it just fine on my HDTV *hides telescope*
