I don't think you have to have a balance board to play the wii version. I read that you can choose between remote and board.

you're probably right, but the main draw to the game is the use of the balance board.

That looks surprisingly fun, I've never played a snowboarding game before. Would this game be a good place to start?

I am very much looking forward to this and Skate it. I love the art style in this game as I am one that thinks the realism in games is so over played and over used. I enjoy seeing this effort put into making the Wii version stand on its own instead of being some lousy port.

I have Wii Fit and haved played those damn skiing games in it far too often ever trying to get a better score.

Never cared for boarding games before but Shawn White in particular is really exciting me because of the immersive nature of using the balance board. If reviews are 7 or higher, I'll definately pick this baby up.

Game looks good, but I really hate Shawn White. Anybody that says that he is getting "Mad Babes" on TV should be shot.

I got interested in this game too after I saw a video on IGN. It looks fast and more of an arcade experience. The problem is to buy the Balance Board, I'm with axumblade in this one, I want the Balance Board but not Wii Fit, not because of the money, but I have no interest in playing that game.
